Remember that song “Healer” by Hillsong a couple of years ago? Great tune. I remember leading that song in worship one day and then finding out that the author had fictionalized his illness to make the song more dramatic. That is wrong. I wish it were an isolated incident.
Seems like we often hear of faith healers who are flying around in their personal jets, using healing ministry for personal gain and manipulation. That is sin.
As a result, a lot of people choose to deny the wild work of God in healing, believing it was for the early church and not now. How are we supposed to know what’s real or what’s not? A few charlatans have effectively jaded many Christians. But, like my good friend, Dr. Ron Walborn, says, “the correct response to misuse is not disuse but right use!”
